Dear Fellow Alconburians:
I took a long hiatus since the 2010 reunion to write two books (one about pruning trees, published in 2011, and one about dream interpretation, due out in 2012), but it is now time to get back to what's really important -- the 8th Alconbury Reunion!
If you're just now find out about the Alconbury Reunion, the Alconbury Reunions have been going on since 1985. Past reunions have been held in: Dallas, Texas (1985, 1992 and 1995); West Palm Beach, Florida (1990 and 2001); Colonial Williamsburg, VA (2007); and Denver, Colorado (2010).
Now it's time to choose the location for the reunion in 2013. So far, New Orleans leads in votes, so if you haven't yet voted, now is the time to do so. Click on the Poll Page and place your vote. Other choices include:

A cabin or resort (locale TBD but ideas are listed on the Poll Page)

We need to decide on this soon, so that plans can move forward. A decision will be made in the next few weeks. If you have already voted, please DO NOT VOTE AGAIN!
At the 2010 reunion, it was suggested that we move the reunion from our traditional time of around July 4th to sometime in October. This is especially recommended if we have the next reunion in New Orleans, which is a sauna in July. Let me know your thoughts on this.
Also, Sheri Morgan-Agnew has been a great administrator for the Molesworth/Alconbury 1969-1975 Facebook page. Sign up if you have not done so already. This page also lists posts from those stationed at Alconbury and news about Lakenheath reunions and alumni.
In addition, Sheri has created a Facebook group page at Alconbury Reunion. Be sure to periodically check out these two pages for news, photos, updates, and reconnecting with old friends. Thank you, Sheri, for organizing these! Your efforts keep us all connected in two important central locations, in addition to the reunion website.
The website will be updated soon, and then on a continuous basis in the future. Don't forget to check back from time to time for news about the 2013 reunion, to connect with new members, and to upload your photos from past reunions, mini reunions, and from those days at Alconbury, Molesworth and Lakenheath.
Finally, it is with sadness that I mention the passing of Bill Caudry, Vance Pickens, Paul Winters, David Reed, Ronnie Prudhome, Wayne Cowan and Sharon Callahan. Please forgive me if I have left anyone out who has recently passed. I have added them to the (sadly) growing In Memoriam page. As we get older, it becomes even more important to attend the reunions and stay in touch with old friends. Signing up on the site is a great way to touch base, and there are also a lot of Alconbury people on Facebook.
