I have been scrolling through here and am drawn into a whole memory jog. I was the younger sister of Mark and Lori. I definitely remember so, so much from those years, although, have a hard time with some names. Sharing with you guys while I was in 4th-7th grade was such an influential time of life....always great memories. xo to all.

I just found this site and think it is wonderful!! We were stationed in Alconbury from 70- 75.  My sister Karen & I went to Molesworth.  Those were some of the best times of my life.  I have lost touch with everyone from then.  It is really good to see some of the familiar names.  It makes the memories come flooding back.  We lived in off base housing (Huntingdon & Yaxley).  This is a great site!

I haven't attended any reunions so far but I thought I would sign the guest book and see if anyone out there remembers me.  I was at Alconbury (all of 6th grade) and Molesworth (all of 7th thru 9th grades) from 1970 to 1974.  I recognize a lot of the names, but I was one of the quiet kids that people probably didn't know.  I still have the last newspaper when MJH was closing.  It was fun to get it out and try to decipher some of the "autographs" I have.  Thank you to all that are keeping the memories alive.

We were at Alconbury for only a year. I went to 7th grade at MJH 68-69. Some friends were Mark Moody, Phillip Church, Scott Comer, Jim Smart, Susan Adams, Debi Gallant, Pat Condon. I worked in the UK in '02-03, and tried to visit Molesworth for nostalgia's sake. Very heavy security because of the joint services intel operation there now, and no one gets on without official business. But I was able to get onto Alconbury with no problem. It had changed remarkably little, and many areas were easily recognizable from the late 60s.

I was at Alconbury '74 - '76 (7-9th grade) and we lived in Huntingdon. I wish my memory was better so I could remember some names. I do remember Dave Winters and the Dumas twins. Also, a guy whose 1st name was Garth. I also remember what a great school Alconbury was...all the great programs that haven't compared to... all the other schools my sisters and I attended while stationed at different bases. I'll have to take the time to go through all the posts on this page and search for more links to find old friends...how fun!

I remember Jamie Hudson, the guy who used to write JH all over the place at Molesworth. Man was he a bad influence on me. Please get people to upload some class pics of us out of the yearbooks from those years, '71-'74 I also remember Chris Metz who bullied me all the time. Does anyone remember Tony "the Tiger" Perkins? So many memories especially of the dances at the AYA on Fridays. Look forward to hearing back from anyone out there.

I just found the Molesworth Facebook page. Iwas at Molesworth Elemetary for the last part of 4th grade, went o Alconbury ES (5&6th), Moleworth JHS in 72 & 73,  After we PCS'd I went to Offutt for 18 months, and then we went to Zweibruecken Germany (Class of 77) where I graduated.  My family PCS'd Stateside, however I was in love & stayed in Germany.  I found a job on the local economy and worked contruction for three years. I married the girl that kept me in Germany (28 years of marriage & still going)and joined the USAF.  My first duty station was Zweibruecken AB, in the same squadron that my  dad was in. I retired after 24 years and currently work for the US Corps of Engineers In New Orleans while living in Ocean Springs MS.
I don't know why I never looked for Molesworth before this.  Kim Morgan steered me to this page. I have on occasion looked for people I could remember names of, without success. I found Michael Barefoot on this page. (hey Mike do you have a facebook page?) I did not get a year book.

I do have some interesting memories: from England, how about running from Ken Kline and diving out the the bowling alley window to get away. He was trying to collect the blue football jersey I had, so I ran (the team was changing to Red).

Hello all. I don't know if anyone remembers me but I was at Molesworth from 68-70 and was a dormie at Lakenheath from 70-71. We moved back to the states in 71 and I graduated from high school in Oklahoma in 72. I still live in Oklahoma today. Found this website today after a friend from Lakenheath sent the link. I browsed through the photos and found what looks like me standing in the background of the "cutting up in class 1970" picture. If my memory serves me right, that is Calvin Herron in the foreground. Anyway, just thought I would sign in and say hi.

Wow is about all I can say.  I stumbled on this site by accident!  Of the many schools my sisters and I attended Molesworth has always been a topic of conversation for us.  Waiting for the bus in the cold damp fog, the long bus rides, the 'go home yanks' signs in the windows of the local school buses, and the freedom we felt at the school, and that d___ typing class! We attended Molesworth during the 72/73 and 73/74 school years.

Hi!  So great that someone built this site.  I was just thinking of Molesworth and wondered if there were any pics online of the old school. Never even considered there would be an alumni site.  WOW!!! My sister Cindy and I attended Molesworth from 1969 to 1971.  Dad was stationed at Alconbury, and then got a compassionate transfer to come back to the states to help take care of his mom.

Hi !

So many memories flooding back, Moleshole...
Long twice daily bus rides through the foggy english countryside to our military quanset hut type school.

Running cross country and never quite catching Jackie Faussette, Ms. Davis typing/shorthand classes , speed tests Stefanie,  Beverly, and Siobahn.

Maxi/midi coats and boots, host nation class, soccer,  a certain song that I think Butch Jackson always sang can't think of title at the moment but when I hear it (takes me back)

We moved there from Spain in 1970-1973  and lived in Huntingdon, then on base very 1st street after MP gate next door to Joanne and Karen Koloski.

Mike Reid, Eddie Bleiler, Russell Mayes, my brothers knew some of those guys. Bob and Chuck Sherrill, they attended the very 1st reunion in Dallas. They told me they saw the Porters and Lackeys, and so many others and had a great time.
I remember so many of you, and recognized so many names!!
Umteen yrs. ago I was working in a store, 1st part time job, in a then unknown town in Texas and who comes down an aisle- in all the towns and cities in the USA,  Bev Gomez, made me think what a small world it really is, and then I saw her again in a crowd at Six Flags!!!

How great to reconnect/remember with those that shared that time together overseas.

I'm  sentimental, enjoyed the photos, wonderful site Kim!
Hope to hear from any of you.

Much love,

Deb

This is AMAZING!!! I stumbled upon this reunion website earlier today and I've been waxing nostalgic ever since. I've already emailed several people and heard back from two so far—Estella Shortridge, who was my first love, and Diane Scott, Estella's best pal.

I haven't seen any of you for 35 years+ and this is sooooo cool. From looking at the photos on the website I can see that Wayne Sullivan hasn't changed at bit. Wayne I would love to hear what's going on with Gail and Gary. Hope all is well.

As soon as I can dig up some old photos I'll upload them. It's great to see pics of the Everett's, Chris Metz, Mr. Snively, Carol Comer, Rory Alexander, Sheri Woolf, Mr. Bunch and others. It's also great to see pics of the ol' stompin' grounds—the AYA and RAF Molesworth.

Anybody ever hear from any of my old 1974 Jr. Spartan football teammates? I played wide receiver, Keith and Terry Baker were halfbacks, Mike Pollack was our quarterback, Eddie Norton was another receiver and Billy James was our linebacker. I saw that my teammate Paul Ristow has already signed in and I've sent him an email and I'm waiting to hear back.

Again, this is soooo cool!! Thanks to everyone who has had a part in putting this nostalgic tool together.

Peace and blessing,
Darryl Wilson

I have wondered for years where I could contact people I went to school with at Molesworth. Though I stayed in trouble most of the time, those years of...66, 67,  68. They were so memerable and fun.  I recognise some of the names in the alumni list such as Debbie and Sherry Pastere..they were sisters. Mark Serrency..He and his brother came to Engand from somewhere in Florida and boy did my best friend Sheri McKnight have a big crush on Mark's brother (can't remember his first name).  Mark was always easy to talk into somekind of craziness Sherri would think up. And Vicki Church.  She was a very good girl and never in trouble and every one liked her.  I have 2 old molesworth yearbooks that I will get out and if I can figure how to put them on this site, I will ( for some of us ole timers).
Just another short story.  Sheri and I were in some class sitting in the back . The teacher had to step out , well sheri and I snuck out a window and ran over to the building where the office was.. snuck into the girls restroom, stopped up all the sinks with toilet paper along with all the toilets, flushed the toilets and turned all the water on snuck back into class before the teaher came back. The halls were flooded! They thought it was done by sheri and I but could not prove it .  Think we were bored??

Wow!  Isn't this all a blast from the past.  I attended Molesworth Elem. in 1974-75 and then Alconbury Jr. High from 75-77.  I have just recently found Erin Milligan and her brother Rick.  Still looking for Cindy Price, she would've attended Alconbury the same years I did.  This is a wonderful website and I do hope to attend a reunion soon.

This is so kool! Great web site Kim. I recognize so many names here! Does anyone out there remember me? I attended Alconbury and Molesworth from 1970 to 1974. Remember singing Bridge Over Troubled Water in Miss Bruscato's 5th grade class? Doing class room plays written by Van Spragins in 6th grade??  The Molesworth Stamp & Coin club? The bus rides to Molesworth were always a blast, ditching class to check out the old Air Base was kool too!  I am living in Washington, Iowa now.  Paul G. drop me an e-mail sometime:) Happy New Year everyone!

Hey Michael -- since you can get on base being a retiree, how about photos of Alconbury -- even if the buildings are no longer there!

Alconburians: DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ON WHERE YOU'D LIKE THE NEXT REUNION IN 2010! So far, Denver leads, Vegas is second, and it's a tie between Chicago and Vail. It's also not too late for suggestions, although these four were in the top choices of those who have voted.

Is it too late to vote on the location for the next reunion? I just discovered your website. My vote is Vail also. Another alternative might be Copper Mountain in the Rocky Mountains, not far from Vail. A great little ski town that offers lots of condos, restaurants and large conference (party) areas during the summer months. Instead of hotels, they offer 2-3 bedroom condos at a very reasonable summer rate. Lots of hiking, fishing, etc. Kim, if you will send me your address I can send you a barrage of info about Copper Mountain. I just returned from a conference there. -Pamela

Hi Kim! The radio just happened to play an old Roberta Flack song, "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and it brought back fond memories of days spent in the Day Room, long bus rides, and the dorm life at Lakenheath (and the time we were playing hooky, ditched our suitcases in the back hall of the hospital only to find they had evacuated it thinking the alarm clock in our suitcase was a bomb!). I wondered how I could make a link to the past, some of my old friends, and found your wonderful website! I've already contacted several names from the past. Thank you! -Pamela Dickson

What up!  I would like to have the 2010 reunion at the AYA on Alconbury Air Force base.  Or better yet the bowling alley.  Or even better than that, the NCO club.  Do I have any takers.  Alright Alright lets have it in a city where the travel time to and from the hotel is minimal.  I am sure people do not want to rent a car and spend their time riding to and from the airport. You want to be able to get in a cab and be at the hotel quickly.  These are just a few things to keep in mine.  Later, Scott Comer

Not sure if I'll make it to the reunion in July, but thought I'd post a note for fun. After so many years I still have fond memories of living in England and being lucky enough to attend school there. In fact it made such impression on me that my wife and I lived in Chester, England for a year and then moved over to Italy for 2 years before we had kids. After the kids we have lived in the states (variety of states) and have only travelled back to England and Europe for vacations and some occassional short term work. Presently we live in Vermont and have found this to be one of our favorate places in the states. Going through the web site I was able to recognize a few names, but could not put specifics to any of them. Terrilbe I know, but then again this is not me - putting names and faces together. Spent an evening with Maurice Kropp a couple of months ago in El Paso, and hung with Tim Seeley two years ago in DC (Typical Tim, he freaked me out by showing up at a party for my organization! Kept looking at him till I realized who it was!) Had been talking to Coronado but lost touch. I think he is in Kansas City... Anyway, sent a note to Tim and will call Maurice... Trying my best to make it! (thr email I am listing is to keep these out of my biz email box, it may take a bit longer, but wont get trashed as spam) Cheers, Rick

This just keeps getting "gooder and gooder". Several weeks ago I spoke with Greg Bolden....I hadn't talked with him in over 35 years. He resides in Ohio now and has been traveling to Maryland, over the years, to attend his family reunion. The location he visits is only about 15 minutes from where I live. By the way, hi Beverly, your not alone, I too have an occasion to attend....I join you in your toast. The second part of the "gooder and gooder" feeling is recently noticed kim Filmore's email address on the site and sent her a message. Ok.....everybody chill, I'm married....she's married.....and there is no intent in my mind to cause any problems. I didn't even think that I would receive any answer....I was very pleased when she did answer. The last time I spoke with her I was told not to call long distance again. You see, the telephone bill was getting a bit out of hand. (smile) It was good to hear from her and to know she's doing well. Who knows, maybe I'll get a chance to speak with her on the telephone again....or even say hi to her at a future reunion.

The reunions always spawn mini-reunions. I had mine when Andre Everett came to town this past December 27th. He stopped by my house with his son and daughter and a friend, and we had a great visit, while our kids played together.

Does anyone know Neil Johnson's new email address? The one he signed up on is no longer valid. Don't forget to send in photos and stories!

Thanks to Kim for getting this site up and maintaining it. It's a strange thing to be at this place in my short life and to still have the yearning to connect with others that are of the like experience that is only shared by the initiated, military brats. Drop a line when you can. Never know who you will find. Later, Mike

I attended schools at Molesworth and Alconbury from 1970-1975. Made it to a reunion in 1990 (I think) and it was a lot of fun to see familiar faces all grown up! I won't be at this reunion but I'm sure it will be a great time for all who are able to make it.

Our family was stationed at RAF Alconbury from 1969-1973. I attended Molesworth from '69-70, and Lakenheath, Home of the Lancers! from '71-72. It will be wonderful to connect once again with the special people that I love dearly from my (our) past and to introduce the wonderful present in my life. See you in Williamsburg! :)

I was at Molesworth from Aug 68 through Feb 1971 and have been in touch with a couple of folks from back then via email. Would love to know where Doug Williams ended up and Mr. Waddles (my French teacher).

Nice site Kim! I was at Molesworth JH from 1970-1971 and don't remember much about my classmates, but looking forward to this opportunity to rekindle those relationships.

Hi everyone, Kim....great site, I've enjoyed browsing through the different links. i remember a few of the names; Steve, Mark, Shaun, etc. It is truly amazing to link up with the past like that. I have been looking for Greg Bolden, Kim Filmore, Karen Lawson, Tim Scott.....I could go on an on. Although my time was cut short there, it's kinda nice to know there will be a reunion. Unfortunately, I may not be available to attend. I am in my brother's wedding that same weekend. I may still have to work something out though. :-) He might need a new best man. Anyway, keeep on keeping on, Bill

Like a long lost friend, the memories float back and forth in time, only to remind us the separation is only temporary and therefore, not real. See you all there~

I was at the last reunion in West Palm Beach. It was my first since I graduated in 1977 and it was amazing to see everyone and reconnect. It was just like old times and so much fun. I cried when I had leave everyone and can't wait until July 2007. It's like being with family again. We all have a unique bond together that can't be found anywhere else. See you in Williamsburg!

Thank you Kim for the excellent web site. I attended the Reunion in Dallas a few years ago, as I live in the area and had a blast. I missed the Las Vagas blast, but I hope to meet up with a lot of old friends at the next Reunion. Nothing like them good old day's...

Hi, Kim & everybody. Hope I'll be able to make the reunion. There's a possibility we'll be having a family reunion that same weekend so I'll just have to wait and see. My husband and I just returned from 8 days in London with my former roommate at Lakenheath, Doris (White) Buckhannon, and her husband; and her brother, Dave White, who graduated a year ahead of us, and another friend. We had a blast (other than the security hell and subsequent delays at the airports). Do you anticipate having many Lakenheath-ians (Lakenheath-ites??) from the classes of '71 and '72???

The first Alconbury Reunion was held in 1985 in Dallas, TX. Since then, we have had four more reunions: 1990 in West Palm Beach, FL; 1992 and 1995 in Dallas, TX; and 2001 in West Palm Beach, FL. The reunions are emotionally rewarding experiences and just plain fun! Our group is unique and special, and after 33+ years, the bonds remain unbroken.
