ALCONBURY
SILVER ANNIVERSARY REUNIONÔ
July 2-4, 2010
The location has not been finalized, but Vail, Colorado is currently in the lead. Here are the total votes and descriptions for each suggested location:
Las Vegas, Nevada: Current vote tally, 6. It's easy to fly in and out of, has affordable hotel rates, and has unlimited array of "things to do." Naysayers worry that the city’s many attractions and casinos will disperse the group.
Vail, Colorado: Current vote tally, 39. July is a slow time for Vail – hey, you can’t ski in summer! – and that makes it a cheap time to go. There’s lots to do in the area, including hiking, biking and sightseeing.
Denver, Colorado: Current vote tally, 8. The mile-high city is centrally located, with a major airport hub, making it affordable to fly into. Plus, there’s lots to do and see in the area.
Dollywood, Tennessee: Current vote tally, 3. Even if "country" ain't your thang, the many attractions could make this a fun locale.
Chicago, Illinois: Current vote tally, 8. Chi-town is centrally located, plus boasts one of the biggest airports in the country. Some feel it could be expensive and distracting.
Cleveland, Ohio: Current vote tally, 4. Its "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" and Midwestern hospitality could make this a nostalgically fun choice.
Wichita, Kansas: Current vote tally, 2. There's a new museum there dedicated SOLELY to military brats.
There's still time to put your vote in, but hurry -- time is running out. Email alconbury_reunion@yahoo.com or vote for your choice on the POLL PAGE of the web site!
